Pilipas Lithium & Cesium Project

Ophir has an option with Azimut Exploration to acquire up to an undivided 70% interest in the Pilipas Lithium & Cesium Property, which is located approximately 50 km south of the Company’s Radis Lithium Project in the James Bay, Quebec.

Highway 1 Spodumene Discovery

  • Newly discovered spodumene pegmatite occurrence, the Highway (HW1) showing
  • Wide and well-mineralized drill intercepts at the HW1 Spodumene Pegmatite
    • 53.2 m at 1.22% Li2O, including 22.3 m at 1.70% Li2O (PLP24-007)
    • 46.5 m at 1.00% Li2O including 16.4 m at 1.38% Li2O (PLP24-011)
  • Mineralized pegmatite extended ~150 m north to 300 m
  • HW1 Spodumene Pegmatite remains open to the north
  • HW3 pegmatite outcrop Cesium discovery – Sampling results confirmed a minimum approximate 11 x 4 m size zone of cesium enrichment within the HW3 outcrop. The channel results are proximal to the 14.2% Cs2O surface sample reported earlier this year. The HW3 pegmatite is located 50 m from the Billy Diamond Highway.

We are excited with the results from our inaugural drill program at Pilipas. We have successfully expanded the mineralized footprint at HW1 over a strike length of ~300 m. The widths and grades of lithium mineralization are very impressive, and we look forward to utilizing these results to guide future exploration efforts at Pilipas in 2025.” Shawn Westcott, CEO of Ophir Metals

14.2% cesium oxide (Cs2O) returned in grab sample of pegmatite outcrop (“HW3 Showing or Pegmatite”) located proximal to the Billy Diamond Highway

  • The presence of cesium suggests a highly evolved and fractionated LCT system
  • Cesium (also spelled Caesium) is interpreted to be present in the mineral pollucite
  • Cesium is considered a critical mineral that is used in chemical and electrical applications and is essential for 5G telecommunications
  • Channel sampling results confirmed presence of the high-grade zonation of cesium oxide (Cs2O). PCH24-001 returned 6.00% Cs2O over 1.4 m and 12.40% Cs2O over 0.5 m. PCH24-002 returned 5.0 m at 1.46% Cs2O, including 3.0 m at 2.29% Cs2O and 1.0 m at 5.30% Cs2O. Highlights from PCH24-003 include 4.0 m at 1.81% Cs2O, including 2.0 m at 2.30% Cs2O. The results now highlight a minimum approximate 11 x 4 m size zone of cesium enrichment within the HW3 outcrop. The channel results are proximal to the 14.2% Cs2O surface sample reported earlier this year

The Pilipas Property consists of 135 claims totaling 7,100 ha and is situated within the La Grande Subprovince (Archean Superior Province). It is primarily underlain by volcano-sedimentary rocks (Greenstone) of the Lower Eastmain Greenstone Belt: conglomerate, sandstone, basalts and felsic to intermediate tuffs. Two regional NW-SE dextral faults transect the southwestern and northeastern parts of the Property. The Property is immediately adjacent to the newly discovered Ninaaskumuwin spodumene pegmatite made by Quebec Precious Metals on their Elmer East project. The Pilipas Property is a highly prospective environment for lithium-cesium-tantalum (LCT) pegmatites, as well as highly prospective for both gold and copper.

  • Two grab samples collected in the southwestern portion of the Property also returned gold values of 2.35 g/t and 1.92 g/t Au in outcrop. The two samples were sourced from two separate pegmatite outcrops spaced approximately 500 m apart that also returned elevated molybdenum results of 2.39% and 0.17% Mo respectively.
  • The Pilipas Property is in structural continuity with the InSight prospect on the adjacent Munischiwan Property (up to 100.5 g/t Au, 435.0 g/t Ag, 156.0 g/t Te and 1.67% Cu from grab samples).
  • A 2019 IP survey at Munischiwan suggests that the prospect may extend onto Pilipas.
  • 0.5 m at 4.76 g/t Au intersected in drill hole at HW1, highlighting the gold potential of Property
  • The Billy-Diamond Highway passes through the center of the Property.
  • Hydropower flanks the east side of the Property.
  • Easily accessible from Radisson and KM 381 Relais Routier.

Disclaimer

The results discussed in this document are historical. An Ophir Metals Corp. qualified person has not performed sufficient work or data verification to validate these results in accordance with National Instrument 43-101. The Company nevertheless believes that they provide an indication of the property’s potential and are relevant for any future exploration program.

Management cautions that discoveries on adjacent properties (i.e. Spodumene on the Ninaaskumuwin discovery at Elmer East and gold on the InSight prospect on the Munischiwan Property which are noted in Figure 2) may not necessarily be indicative to the presence of mineralization on the Pilipas Property. The Company considers the Pilipas Property to host significant potential for spodumene pegmatites (LCT) due to its favorable greenstone geological setting, regional faulting, sheer zones and hinge fold, as well as anomalous Ta, Cs, Nb and Sn geochemistry and numerous observed tourmaline in described white pegmatites.
