Radis Lithium Project
Property Location
- Ophir has an Option with Fury Gold Mines Ltd, to acquire a 100% interest in the Radis Property (152 claims, 7, 850 ha)
- Located approximately 70 km east-northeast of Wemindji, James Bay, Quebec, and within 10 km of a major all-season road and hydropower infrastructure corridor
- The James Bay Region of Quebec is rapidly developing into a top-tier LCT pegmatite district, as demonstrated by recent discoveries such as the CV5 Pegmatite at Corvette (Patriot Battery Metals)
- Situated 10 km to the east-northeast and within and on trend of the same greenstone belt as Q2’s Mia Property
Lithium Potential
- The Radis property hosts multiple lithium pegmatites:
- Chou – 3 outcrop samples: 2.33%, 1.68 % and 1.17%, Li2O
- Navet – 1 outcrop sample: 1.26% Li2O
- Courgette – 2 outcrop samples: 867 ppm & 227 ppm Ta2O5
- Potential 300 x 70 foot spodumene zone (Untested) Harvey, 1975
- Considered highly prospective for additional LCT pegmatites
- Property is on strike to other known lithium pegmatite occurrences on the adjacent Mia Property, highlighting the fertility of the greenstone belt for lithium. Prospects at Mia include:
- Mia Li-1 – 18 outcrop samples averaging 2.65% Li2O
- Mia Li-2 – 2.27% Li2O
- MIA 3 – 2.73% Li2O
- Carte 1879 – 3 outcrop samples averaging 1.65% Li2O
2023 Surface Results Highlights
- New lithium-bearing pegmatite discovered 2.3km to the east of Chou, termed the “Figue Showing”
- Extension of the total prospective lithium trend to approximately 4.5 km
Chou Spodumene Pegmatite
- A new spodumene pegmatite outcrop was discovered approximately 26m south of the Chou Spodumene Pegmatite
- This new outcrop, extends the interpreted strike length of the collective Chou Showing to at least 41 m. Channels were cut across both spodumene pegmatite outcrops that characterize the Chou Showing: a 6.5 m long channel across the northern, original Chou Showing dyke and a 2.9m long channel across the newly discovered southern dyke situated 26m along strike
2023/2024 Exploration Plans
- Historical data compilation and targeting – Completed
- Mapping and sampling (grab & channel) of spodumene targets – Completed
- Prospecting and rock sampling throughout the greenstone belt, focused along strike of known occurrences – Completed
- Ground geophysics and LiDAR & Orthophoto data acquisition – Underway
- Drilling – will be the first targeting lithium pegmatite at the Property – Q1 2024
